Pink October: Cenexi’s commitment to the fight against breast cancer

Pink October is an annual event dedicated to awareness of and the fight against breast cancer. It is an opportunity for companies, healthcare institutions, and patient communities to talk about the importance of early screening and support for people affected by this disease.

Cenexi: expertise in manufacturing oncology products

Founded in 2004, Cenexi is a subcontractor specializing in the formulation, development, manufacture, and filling of pharmaceutical products. In particular, the company is known for its expertise in manufacturing specific substances, such as oncology products.

This event is of particular significance as one of our sites – Braine-l’Alleud (Belgium) – specializing in oncology products, manufactures three breast cancer drugs. As such, there were awareness-raising actions throughout the month in the Group.

Awareness raising actions

Bags containing a pink ribbon and a breast cancer fact sheet were handed out on all four sites.

In addition, our employees based at our two sites in Ile-de-France (in Fontenay-sous-Bois and Osny) ran in the Odysséa Paris charity race, which aims to raise funds for research into new treatments and improving care pathways, to promote the importance of early screening and to accompany patients and their families. Workshops on breast self-exams were also available.

Our Belgian colleagues participated in the “Race for the cure”, a 5 km charity walk organized by Think Pink, which works with breast cancer patients.
